Norway’s Atlantic Offshore is sending multi-role vessel Ocean Response off for conversion works to become a full oil recovery and oil spill vessel.
The decision was made along with Statoil and will see the vessel comply with NOFO 2009 regulations.
Atlantic said the 2013-built vessel, once converted, will have more flexibility to serve as an emergency and response vessel.
Conversion works will be carried out at Hellesøy Verft in Løfallstrand, Norway.
