Atlantic Offshore declares bankruptcy

Having been sold on Tuesday to Aegopodium, a newly established company 100% owned by H Ogreid & Sonner, Atlantic Offshore declared itself bankrupt in Oslo on Friday.

Stine Snertingdalen of the law firm Kvale has been appointed by the court as trustee of the bankruptcy estate.

The OSV operator was sold for NOK16.9m ($2.07m) after earlier efforts to restructure were vetoed by bondholders.

Atlantic Offshore’s UK operations have already been put into a court appointed administration.
