Aurora Tankers declares options on four MRs at GSI

Singapore’s Aurora Tankers, part of IMC Group, has declared options on four additional 55,000 dwt MR tankers at China’s Guangzhou Shipyard International.

News of the options being declared appeared in the latest Clarkson report and was confirmed to Splash by Aurora Tankers head Kenny Rogers.

The vessels are scheduled for delivery from GSI’s Nansha yard in 2021.

Aurora Tankers originally signed an order for four plus four of the vessels back in January.
