Barakah Offshore secures $14.3m offshore contract

Malaysian offshore service provider Barakah Offshore subsidiary PBJV Group has received a letter of award from Samling Resources for offshore works at the Chinguetti and Banda Field, Mauritania.

The contract is for the provision of a well intervention vessel, a platform supply vessel and all necessary parts, spares, repairs, refurbishments and modifications to the vessel and all coordination, technical support and supervisory works.

The project, which involves temporary plugging of 15 wells, will commence this month. The total value of the contract is about $14.28m.
