Beijing: China continues to grapple with rampant overcapacity at its shipyards and a new round of consolidation is likely following the news that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has decided to make a ‘White List’ of shipyards. Those that fail to get onto the list will struggle to get loans from financial institutions.
