Bergen Group merges with Endúr Fabricom

Bergen Group is merging with oil service company Endúr Fabricom.

The merged company will constitute a “strong industrial group based in western Norway”, the pair said in a release today. Combined the new entity will have close to 400 employees and an orderbook exceeding NOK1bn ($120m).

Bergen’s chairman Hans Petter Eikeland will chair the new company.

“Both Bergen Group and Endúr Fabricom have been through extensive restructuring processes to adapt to a changing market. Now we have two companies eager to grow and with a proven record carrying out demanding restructuring in parallel with strengthening of the companies’ core competencies. The merger between these two companies will be a catalyst both for the speed and profitability of a further growth process”, Eikeland said.

In February this year, Handeland Industrier and Artemes Group acquired Endúr Fabricom and set about beefing up the company’s orderbook.
