Bintulu Port to enhance services

Kuala Lumpur: Bintulu Port is committed to enhancing its services to customers in order to meet with growing needs, said Dato Mior Ahmad Baiti Mior Lub Ahmad, ceo of Bintulu Port.

“The area that we are looking into now is on the performance of our cargo handling operation especially on the stevedoring operation which is expected to be improving soon,” Mior said at the port’s Customer Appreciation Day yesterday.

He added that the interim phase development of Samalaju Industrial Port will start by the second quarter of 2014, which will be equipped with two barge berths and one Ro-Ro Ramp, with 4m tonnes berth capacity per annum.

“The provision of new facilities and equipment to meet the operational needs are reviewed from time to time,” he said. [19/03/14]
