Blue Water Shipping and Bremer Reederei E&B form wind jv

Denmark’s Blue Water Shipping and Germany’s Bremer Reederei E&B (BREB) have established a joint venture with a focus on servicing the offshore wind industry in Germany.

The new company Blue Water BREB will provide a range of services including port agency, stevedoring, loading, discharging, storage and transport.

“Blue Water Shipping brings solid expertise into Blue Water BREB, and we hold a strong international position in not only the wind industry, but in the energy-section as such. Together with BREB, our main focus will be to offer solutions tailored to the needs and demands of each client – and thereby optimizing the clients’ supply chain,” said Blue Water’s founder and managing director Kurt Skov.

“Blue Water BREB has a unique set-up, combining the knowledge and expertise of two strong companies – and with this joint venture, we can now offer all types of transport and logistical services at all key locations for the German offshore wind industry,” said Arne Ehlers, managing director and partner of BREB.

BREB currently operates a fleet of nine multi-purpose vessels.
