Bohai Drilling general manager commits suicide

Zhou Zongqiang, general manager of Bohai Drilling Engineering, a drilling service unit of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), committed suicide this week by jumping into a river.

According to an obituary released by CNPC, Zhou killed himself due to work pressure and family issues.

Zhou had served at CNPC since 2003 and was appointed general manager of Bohai Drilling in early 2017.
