Bohai Leasing to take full control of Seaco

Beijing: Bohai Leasing, a subsidiary of HNA Capital, has announced that it plans to take over 100% equity of Seaco SRL, an overseas subsidiary of HNA Group.

The total price of the transaction is RMB8.1bn. Bohai Leasing will raise RMB1.5bn from HNA Capital, RMB2bn from less than 10 specific investors, and the rest of the funds will be raised from the company itself and other financing methods.

Bohai Leasing will set up an offshore SPV, Global Sea Containers, to carry out the transaction.

Seaco is one of the leading container leasing companies in the world, and was taken over by HNA Group at the end of 2011. Bohai Leasing said the deal will help Seaco expand domestic container leasing through its listed platform. [30/09/13]
