Bomb scare at Limassol port

Police combed through Limassol port yesterday after a bomb threat was made in the morning. No explosive device was found and operations quickly resumed as normal.

A phone call was made at about 09.30 hrs to transport police by someone who spoke broken English, police said.

The call comes at a time when police and justice minister Ionas Nicolaou have upped security at airports and ports.
