Bomek: Firing on all cylinders

Bodø: Norway’s Bomek Group, which was taken over by private equity in 2012, has invested big in the last year to hike its production capabilities. The fire door specialist has spent millions recently on a new production facility in Norway as well moving its Chinese subsidiary into new premises in Shenyang.
Lars Munsko, ceo of the Bomek Group, “We are focusing on our core business of high-tech fire class doors, and since we have production facilities in both China and Brazil and establishing our business platform to other countries as well, we are considered as a ‘glocal’ business partner, who at anytime, anywhere can supply the right solution for our customers.”
Bomek is part of the Rapp Marine Group, which was taken over by private equity fund Nord II in December 2012. At the time of the takeover, Nord II stressed its goal was to invest in growing the manufacturing volumes and capabilities of the group, something which has happened a great deal in recent months.
