Boskalis secures Dong Energy contract

Dutch firm Royal Boskalis Westminster (Boskalis) has announced that it has been awarded a contract by Dong Energy for the transport and installation of the foundations for part of the Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm in the North Sea.

The transport and installation of the foundations will be executed by Boskalis’ new offshore transport and installation crane vessel, which has been converted from one of its existing F-class heavy transport ships.

The converted ship will be equipped with a 3,000-tonne capacity crane, dynamic positioning capabilities and accommodation for up to 150 people.
