Boudewijn Siemons to step in as interim head of Rotterdam port

Boudewijn Siemons has been appointed interim chief executive officer of the Port of Rotterdam Authority.

As the port’s current chief operating officer, Siemons will take over from Allard Castelein, who is stepping down on July 15.

Siemons, whose COO term ends in October next year, will combine both positions until a new CEO has been appointed.

Castelein, who previously worked with Shell for over 26 years, is leaving Europe’s largest port after nearly a decade at the helm to join the board of Dutch FPSO giant SBM Offshore.
