Boxes to shift to ease Manila congestion

Manila: Anyone who has ever been to the Philippine capital will have suffered from its chronic traffic problems. Keen to fix them, the government is to go about diverting some containers to Subic and Batangas ports from the first quarter of next year. The transport ministry employed consultants to carry out a year-long survey to find out ways to decongest the city and the shifting of boxes elsewhere has been one of the key considerations.  [10/12/12]
