Boxship quintet for Cosco

Shanghai: China Cosco Holdings is making up for lost time unveiling brief details of its latest order. Cosco had been on a newbuild hold for the last two years as it fought disastrous financial results, however at the end of 2013 it indicated it would get back into the ordering fray and the first three months of 2014 have seen a swathe of orders, predominantly bulkers. Now, in a release to the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Friday, it has said it will order five 14,000 teu containerships. Cosco did not divulge the yard, delivery or price of the quintet however.  [31/03/14]
