BP awards jackup EPC contract to CIMC Raffles

Energy giant BP has awarded an EPC contract to Chinese offshore yard CIMC Raffles for a jackup accommodation platform.

The EPC contract follows the yard securing a FEED contract from BP for the platform in October last year.

The platform, which will be capable of accommodating around 200 people, will be deployed near an FLNG at the Tortue/Ahmeyim field located offshore Mauritania.

In December last year, BP contracted Golar LNG for the provision of an FLNG vessel at Tortue/Ahmeyim field. The FLNG is currently under conversion at Keppel Shipyard.
