Brostrom Singapore sold

Singapore: Integra Holdings, the parent company of Integra Petrochemicals, and Cldn-Cobelfret, a Luxembourg based globally operating bulk shipping company, have jointly agreed to purchase the assets of Brostrom Singapore from its parent, Maersk Tankers Singapore.  The transaction will be finalized by September 2.

The company will be renamed BTS Tankers and will continue to operate as a separate company as before.

“The staff and contracts of Brostrom Singapore will remain with the new company and the vessels will remain until further notice on either commercial management or time charter with no change to the operation,” Integra said in a release.

BTS Tankers is in discussion with Maersk Tankers on the purchase of the outstanding vessels.

Maersk Tankers has been scaling back its diverse fleet of late, selling its VLGC fleet to BW Group this May and its LNG fleet to Teekay and Marubeni last year.  [27/06/13]
