Bumi Armada has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Armada Balnaves, has filed and served a statement of claim in the Supreme Court of Western Australia against Woodside Energy Julimar in relation to the contract for the charter of the FPSO Armada Claire.

Woodside Energy Julimar terminated the contract for the FPSO on March 4.

Under the statement of claim, Armada Balnaves has made a claim for damages of $275.8m for the repudiation, plus any additional damages caused by the termination. An additional $7.7m was sought for work done and materials supplied.
