BV shuffles management as it pursues digital strategy

Philippe Donche-Gay, president of French classification society Bureau Veritas, has been promoted to the role of senior executive vice president of Bureau Veritas, reporting to the group’s CEO, Didier Michaud-Daniel. His new role sees him lead the implementation of Bureau Veritas’ strategic plans in parallel with his position as president of the marine & offshore division.

Donche-Gay commented: “We have ambitious targets to continue the transformation of our entire business. One of the areas I will be building on across the whole Bureau Veritas organisation is the progress marine & offshore has seen in pursuing a digital strategy. Additionally, the larger Bureau Veritas Group is an important source of expertise and capability that will benefit our marine and offshore sector markets. We expect to continue to broaden and deepen the services we offer to these important sectors.”

Meanwhile, Matthieu de Tugny has been appointed chief operations officer (COO) of the marine & offshore division. De Tugny has been with the company since 1994.
