BW Gas adds two LNG carriers at DSME

BW has returned to South Korean yard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) for the construction of two 174,000 cu m LNG carriers.

According to Clarksons, the company placed the order for a price of $186.9m each. Delivery of the vessels are scheduled in June and September of 2022.

This latest order adds to BW Gas’ existing orderbook of four 173,400 cu m LNG carriers at DSME.

BW Gas currently runs a fleet of 18 gas carriers made up of 14 large LNG carriers and four FSRUs, with 16 of the vessels built by DSME.
