BW Pacific back at STX for two more LR1s

Seoul: STX Offshore & Shipbuilding has won an order for two LR1 tankers from repeat client BW Pacific.

BW Pacific already ordered four identical vessels from the Korean shipbuilder in December last year. The price for all six is around $286m and they are all due for delivery in 2016 and 2017. According to the original order in December, BW Pacific could still exercise options for another two tankers.

BW Group and PAG formed a joint venture called BW Pacific last May. PAG was formerly known as Pacific Alliance Group, and is an Asia-focused investment manager.
