Capital Product Partners seals new containership fixture

Capital Product Partners (CPLP) has sealed a new time charter deal for the 2015-built neo-panamax boxship Akadimos.

The 9,288 teu vessel has been fixed for around two years from the second quarter of 2023 in direct continuation of its present charter with Japan’s Ocean Network Express (ONE).

The Nasdaq-listed master limited partnership said it expects to earn $34.4m of gross revenue from the charter and that its coverage for the remainder of 2023 and 2024 now stands at 96%.

Capital Product Partners has 23 vessels on a fully delivered basis, including seven LNG carriers, 15 boxships, and one capesize bulker.
