Cargill takes Diana Shipping cape on time charter

Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has sealed a time charter contract with Cargill International for 2007-built capesize Semirio.

The charter commences July 1 and is for a period of 15-18 months at $16,000 per day. The vessel was previously on charter to Hong Kong’s Pacific Bulk Cape at a rate of $20,050 per day.

Diana Shipping says the charter will generate around $7.2m of revenue based on the minimum time charter period.
