Kuala Lumpur: Carimin has won a spot charter to supply an anchor handling tug/supply vessel (AHTS) and a workboat to Petronas Carigali in the next two years.
The charter is effective immediately and is the first marine vessel services contract won by Carimin, part of Malaysia-listed Carimin Petroleum.
Carimin owns the AHTS vessel Carimin Airis (1,331 dwt, built 2013), and co-owns a workboat, SK Deep Sea (2,851 dwt, built 2011). Both vessels are currently at work on ongoing projects in hook-up and commissioning (HUC) and maintenance works for Carimin Petroleum.
The contract includes a one-year extension option, the group said in a filing today. [30/01/15]
