Port of Oakland’s governing board have elected Oakland business leader Cestra ‘Ces’ Butner as its new president, succeeding Joan Story.
Butner, the founder of Horizon Beverage, returns for a second term as president having held the role from July 2013 to July 2014.
“We’ll work with the staff to grow the Port’s business for the benefit of our community,” Butner said of his appointment. He has served on the port’s board since 2012.
