Copenhagen: The boardroom meltdown at Thorco continues. Strategical differences in management at the line have forced CFO Kent Hedegaard to leave the company. The move comes just a couple of days after Clipper Group CEO Kristian Mørch opted to resign from the board of the Stadil-controlled multipurpose carrier for the same reasons.
Hedegaard joined the company in June 2014. Previously he was a partner with PwC.
Clipper’s multipurpose vessels will continue to be operated by Thorco in the future, but Clipper Group will no longer be represented on the Thorco board.
Thorco, the world’s second largest operator of multipurpose vessels, was formed in 2013 when Clipper Projects merged with Thorco Shipping.
Thorco’s board now consists of company owner Thor Stadil, his son Christian Stadil and CEO Thomas Mikkelsen.
