CFO of NewLead resigns

Athens: Antonis Bertsos has resigned as CFO of NewLead Holdings to “pursue other career opportunities”, the company said.

Bertsos will remain at the company until the end of June. He has held the position of CFO since October 2011, before which he was the company’s deputy COO since April 2010.

“I would like to thank Antonis for his contribution to NewLead,” Michael Zolotas, chairman and CEO of NewLead, said in a statement.

Prior to joining NewLead, Bertsos served as CFO of Aries Energy Corporation from February 2005 to March 2010. Aries conducted a reverse merger with Grand Union in 2009 to become NewLead Holdings as it is known today.
