Charters pour in for SapuraKencana

Kuala Lumpur:  SapuraKencana Petroleum has won a new contract and secured three contract extensions worth a combined $354m.
 
Total E&P Congo has tapped the Malaysian outfit for a year’s charter of its semi-tender assist drilling rig, SKD Berani. The $108m deal comes with an option for an extension of one year. 
 
Meanwhile, Brunei Shell has extended a contract for another semi-tender assist drilling rig, SKD Pelaut, for two years and is paying SapuraKencana $92m for the extension.
 
Similarly, Cabinda Gulf Oil is paying $164m to extend its use of the SKD Setia rig by another two years.
 
Finally, Chevron Thailand has agreed to pay $90m for a two-year extension to use the SKD T-12 rig. [02/04/14]
