Chevron extends Wood Group’s North Sea contract

Wood Group PSN is to provide operations and maintenance services for an additional year at four offshore platforms and vessels in the North Sea for Chevron Upstream Europe.

The UK-based service company has been supporting the Alba Northern platform, Alba floating storage unit (FSU), Captain floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) and Captain wellhead protector platform since 2010.

The 12-month contract extension is effective immediately and will retain 30 jobs, Wood Group said.

“Our firm commitment is to provide effective and efficient services, which assure the safety and performance of our client’s assets; retaining this contract with Chevron Upstream Europe is testament to this focus,” James Crawford, managing director of Wood Group PSN in the UK and Africa, said in a release.
