Chevron signs 10-year deal to supply China’s ENN with LNG

Chevron has announced a 10-year deal with Chinese firm ENN to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The San Ramon, California-headquartered supermajor signed, through its subsidiary Chevron USA, to ship 650,000 metric tons per year beginning in either 2018 or early 2019.

The start date depends on the completion of ENN’s under-construction receiving terminal in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province on the country’s east coast.

Mike Wirth, executive vice president of Chevron Midstream and Development, commented: “This SPA further demonstrates our work to expand our customer base, our strong customer relationships and our commitment to partnerships around the world.”

ENN Group is one of China’s largest private companies. It is the first private firm to gain Chinese government approval for building and operating an LNG import terminal.
