Chevron signs LNG supply deal with ENN Energy

Energy major Chevron has signed a signed a preliminary agreement with China’s ENN LNG Trading, a unit of ENN Energy, to supply LNG from West Australia starting in 2018.

Chevron expects to supply ENN with up to 500,000 metric tons of LNG per annum over 10 years once the deal is finalised.

Chevron also signed an agreement in December to sell 1m tons of LNG a year to China Huadian Green Energy from 2020.

Hong Kong-listed ENN Energy is currently developing an LNG receriving terminal, which is expected to be in operation by 2018, in Zhoushan. It operates 100 gas facilities projects in 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China.
