China Merchants Group has announced the appointment of Hu Jianhua as the new president of the group.
The position had been vacant since September after former president Fu Gangfeng was appointed by Cosco as president, the second-in-command role at the group.
Hu has served various roles in China Merchants Group including vice president of the group, managing director of China Merchants Port Holdings, and president of China Merchants Logistics. He also served previously as president of Nanshan Group and China Harbour.
