China Shipping Industry official detained in corruption investigation

Yangzhou People’s Procuratorate has announced that it has detained Geng Xinhua, vice general manager of China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu), after corruption investigations.

Geng is suspected of taking bribes in shipbuilding deals done by the shipyard.

China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) was a subsidiary yard of China Shipping Group, before it was merged into China Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry in October 2016.
