Beijing: China Harbor Engineering and Yemen Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation have entered into a framework agreement in Beijing for an expansion project at Aden port.
The project will cos $507m and includes the construction of an additional berth on the western side of Aden container terminal.
The agreement also includes the expansion of the first phase of the berth to raise the container handling capacity.
Chinese shipping company, COSCO International Freight Company, is in talks with Aden port to get facilities from Aden Port Administration to operate shipping lines from the ports of China and East Asia to Aden. [17/12/14]
