China VLCC inks three-year VLCC charter deal with Shell

China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has announced that its affiliate company China VLCC has signed a time charter contract with Shell.

Shell will take the VLCC from China VLCC for a period of three years at a total contract value of RMB262m ($39.8m).

The vessel is currently being delivered to Shell, who have another VLCC on charter from the Chinese firm, signed under a two-year charter in February 2015.
