Chinese complete major Iraqi pipeline
Dubai: A new oil export pipeline to connect the Halfaya and Burzugan oil fields in southern Iraq’s Maysan province to Fao, a port near the Persian Gulf, has started operation, one of the constructors, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), announced yesterday.
The pipeline, construction of which began in April 2013, stretches 272 km and has a capacity of 5m tons per year. [12/08/14]
