Chinese ship quarantined in Cape Verde

Shanghai: A Chinese flag ship has been quarantined near of Pássaros in São Vicente, Cape Verde for Ebola precautions.
The country’s Minister of Health, Cristina Fontes, confirmed the Chinese ship left Sierra Leone on 31st July and is off the port since last week.

Fontes said given the serious Ebola outbreak in West Africa , Cape Verde has asked all ships arriving from infected areas of the country must accept the isolation, the Chinese vessel was isolated only to deal with a normal inspection.

“It was confirmed that there was no one with symptoms, but will be quarantined until completing the 21 days so there is no risk", said the minister. [15/08/14]
