Chloe Marine sells drillship

Chloe Marine has sold its drillship Deepsea Metro II to Chalfont Shipping for $210m, well below that of its $860 million price tag, to repay escalating uppaid debts.

Chloe Marine is a joint venture company between Metro Exploration and Odfjell Drilling.

Odfjell took the decision to stack the ship offshore Venezuela in May 2015 in a bid to reduce running costs, and Chloe Marine Corporation appointed Pareto Offshore as broker to sell the ship.
