Christian Andersen steps down at Avance Gas

Pure-play VLGC owner Avance Gas Holding has announced that president Christian Andersen has stepped down.

Andersen has led the company since it was formed by Stolt-Nielsen in 2007.

The company has appointed CFO Peder Simonsen as interim CEO until a permanent successor is found.

Avance Gas currently has a fleet of 14 modern VLGCs, and Andersen recently told Splash in an interview that the company was looking to expand its fleet.

John Fredriksen, via Hemen Holding and Frontline, has been steadily acquiring Avance shares and currently has a stake of over 20%.
