GC Rieber Shipping’s CEO Christian Berg has resigned from the company, his last day on Friday, to pursue opportunities through his own company Bech Offshore.
Berg had set up Bech Offshore in 2017 after leaving his role of CEO at Viking Supply Ships, and the company was integrated into GC Rieber Shipping when Berg joined the company in August 2017. Bech Offshore will now be sold back to Berg. The company’s services include investment in distressed assets, commercial management and consultancy services.
GC Reiber has asked CFO Einar Ytredal to step into the interim CEO role again, having done the same before Berg’s appointment when Irene Waage Basili left to take over the company’s joint venture Shearwater GeoServices.
