CIMC Enric to acquire Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering

Hong Kong-listed CIMC Enric, an affiliate company of China International Marine Containers (CIMC), has announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Jiangsu Pacific Shipbuilding Group and SOEG Pte, under which the company intends to acquire of 63.31% equity of Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering.

The company also signed a MOU with Evergreen Group for the acquisition of the remaining 36.69% equity interest in Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering.

The acquisition is in line with the company’s development strategy to expand in the industry chain for natural gas equipment and services and the acquisition will facilitate the company in building its integrated capabilities for purification, liquefaction, storage and transportation of natural gas both onshore and offshore.

CIMC Enric is mainly engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, engineering and sales of technical maintenance services for, a wide spectrum of transportation, storage and processing equipment that is widely used in the energy, chemical and liquid food industries.
