Shandong Twin Marine has placed an order for two semi-sub heavylift vessels at CIMC Raffles, a very rare order in China these days. The ships will have DP3 positioning and can accommodation a couple of hundred people. The two vessels will be used for tandem lifting with a focus on the oil and gas decommissioning market.
Shandong Twin Marine took over a Norwegian heavylift company two years ago – it is a vehicle of Shandong Shipping Corporation, a state backed regional line.
