Claus-Peter Offen MR sales proliferate

Claus-Peter Offen Reederei continues to sell. Brokers note that the German outfit  has committed its MR tanker, the 37,229 dwt  CPO Larisa Hestia .

It’s only a couple of week since the famous name in German shipping resumed its massive ship sell-off program. A fortnight back it sold the 37,000 dwt MR tankers CPO Larisa Artemis and the CPO Larisa  (both built 2004) to Indonesian buyers Waruna.

It’s unclear where the  CPO Larisa Hestia  has ended up. Some brokers believe that this ship has also gone to Waruna, while other brokers point to China. The  price tag  for the deal ship is revealed to be $6m, some $2m less than 2004-built ships were reported sold for at the end of May.
