Cleaves Securities crowned top shipping analyst

Oslo-based Cleaves Securities has been crowned the world’s top shipping analyst according to bank rankings carried by financial newswire Bloomberg.

Cleaves Securites acquired Gersemi Research last year, securing the services of Joakim Hannisdahl who now serves as Cleaves’s head of research.

Bloomberg measures the performance as “the analysts whose recommendations produced the best relative returns based on the performance of all the securities they covered over the past year”.

According to Bloomberg, Cleaves Securities has an average one-year return of 45% across its covered companies, 15% higher than DNB Markets in second place.
