CMA CGM wins Alexandria terminal concession

France’s CMA CGM said on Wednesday it has reached an agreement with Egypt to operate a future container terminal at the port of Alexandria on the Mediterranean.

Operations at the planned terminal are due to start next year.

Egypt’s second city has two existing container terminals. The port city handles roughly 60% of Egypt’s foreign trade.
