CMB in for Hanjin Heavy aframax pair

Brokers are reporting that the Saverys family controlled Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB) has placed orders for a pair of tankers.

The Belgian shipowning giant is understood to put pen to paper for two 115,000 dwt aframax tankers to be built at Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction’s (HHIC) yard in Subic Bay in the Philippines.

Splash understands CMB has negotiated a price of $45.5m per unit with delivery set for late next year and in early 2020.
