CMES replenishes capital into CLNG

Shanghai: China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has announced that it will replenish $149m capital into its subsidiary CLNG in order to support its Yamal LNG transport project.

CLNG and Teekay LNG Partners signed a series of deals concerning the construction and chartering of six 173,000 cu m LNG carriers for the Yamal LNG project in July. The vessels will be managed by Teekay Shipping and chartered to Yamal Trade Pte upon delivery.

In the meantime, CMES announced that its president Li Jianhong has resigned from the company to take up a position elsewhere. [12/08/14]
