CMES sells tanker for scrap

China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES) has announced that it has sold a 106,100dwt oil tanker to Xinhui Shuangshui Shipbreaking & Steel for scrap.

The 18 year old aframax vessel New Alliance, was built in Japan’s Namura Shipbuilding in 1998.

The sale price is RMB20.68m ($3.13m).
