CMES to dispose of eight vessels

Shanghai: China Merchants Engery Shipping (CMES), the state run energy shipping giant, has announced that it has decided to dispose of two old aframax tankers and six aging bulkers from its subsidiary Youhua Shipping, as part of its ongoing fleet optimisation plan.

CMES formed a joint venture China VLCC with Sinotrans&CSC last year and has been adding vessels to the fleet.
